Massage & Bodywork
It is with excitement that we would like to announce a new add-on treatment to your massage appointment: Massage and Movement
Over the past 20 years, one of the most commonly used phrases is “I feel stuck” and “I feel tight”, even while supplementing with yoga, stretching, etc. All of those are GREAT to do and use, however many of our clients still are not getting any results. Over time, our bodies get stuck in a holding pattern. There is a sort of webbing we have in our body covering us, head to toe, like a rubber band: it’s called fascia. Fascia is a web that has to be released and approached In difference ways, which is why stretching does not work alone. The most appropriate time to teach this and encourage/maintain mobility is right after your massage.
The massage and mobility add-on treatment will last 15 minutes and will incorporate the following;
0. One-on-one teaching setting
0. Use of therapeutic tools
0. Learn movements/stretches tailored to your body and needs

A Word on Massage and Mobility from Mary Pecce;
“Over the years , I have heard the the frustration my clients face trying to maintain the freedom that they feel in their body post-massage. What tends to happen is they go back into their lives and encourage improper habits (I.e. rounded shoulders while texting or driving) that they do not even realize they were doing. All of these mindless postures and movements reignite the tightness in the parts of the body that just was loosened. I have had the privilege of teaching at a variety of different yoga studios to help make this knowledge available for my clients, who range from from orthopedic problems to runners to professional athletes. I am thrilled to have the opportunity now to provide this directly after massage sessions to educate our clients by reminding them how their bodies should organically move.
Sessions being offered:
45 min massage ( 30 minute massage followed by 15 minute mobility session)
75 min massage (60 minute massage followed by 15 minute mobility session)
It should be noted that clients should arrive in clothing they feel comfortable to move in for the mobility session.
